Fall Gatherings Tiered Tray

I purchased a tiered tray this spring and have yet to use it.  At Home with Jemma is hosting a Tiered Tray Extravaganza party this week and I thought it would be a great time to get out my tray and do something with it! I selected an adorable Fall Gathering sign to top my tiered tray.  I decided to place a simple garland of fall berries on the second tier.
And what do you do when you have ripe bananas and left over pumpkin puree? Well, you make banana pumpkin muffins.  I placed the muffins on the largest tier! I'll share the recipe with you later, but I will tell you that this recipe has flax seed hidden within the other ingredients.  I love to hide flax seed in food! I poured two cups of coffee in case you stop by for a visit!  I think these Fostoria coffee cups are so beautiful!  I only have two, so I am always on the look out for more.
Have a wonderful rest of the week friends!  I am packing up my muffins and hitting the road tomorrow with my parents. We are going to Virginia to visit our oldest son and their first grandson.  You can be assured that I will be on the hunt for a few more Fostoria cups and saucers as well as other antique treasures.  However, the most important thing I will be doing is enjoying time with my big boy!

      Thanks for the sweet comment. I have taken that tiered tray out of its box several times and then put it back up. This was the perfect incentive to get it out and keep it out!

We just got back from a week in VA and a few extra days tacked on the end for a brief visit to Pigeon Forge. We are whopped, but grateful to be able to see our oldest!

    Enjoy visiting your family. We just returned from a week with our son and his family. It is special to spend time with family. Hope you find some more Fostoria cups.

      I didn't find a single Fostoria cup, but did come home with great memories of time with our son and some great vintage finds! Hope to be sharing those later. I had planned to share my new front door decor, but alas, like many residents of the MS Gulf Coast, all  loose outside objects have been secured as we await the arrival of Hurricane Isaac. Quarantine Reno: The Butler's Pantry/Laundry Room

Good morning everyone! I wanted to share with you a major renovation which Mr. Still Woods and I accomplished during the quarantine. I have been feeling a huge push to simplify not only my life, but our home as well.  I started with reorganizing room by room and donating items we no longer use. After that was accomplished, I began thinking. My husband says that my thinking is always dangerous and usually means a lot of work for him! So let me tell you how this all started.  I have a large pantry in the kitchen with pull out drawers and deep shelves. While it holds tons of pantry items, I was always complaining because items tend to meander to the back of the shelves. Patriotic Tablescapes

I was perusing the internet for a little 4th of July tablescape inspiration.  Wow...are there some wonderful ideas for any Yankee Doodle Dandy table.  Let's take a look! I love the blog Between Naps on the Porch.  She has a gift for setting a beautiful table.  This one is set with solids of red, white, and blue.  The tall lanterns also lend a patriotic flair and really make the setting cozy. I love the entire setting in this photo from The Gathering of Friends.  The house and yard phtograph beautifully.  Those red chairs really pop! Looks like a great place to entertain and watch fireworks. Tampa Homebody has incorporated some of my favorite glassware into her table setting.  American Fostoria and blue Cape Cod glass make this a festive display.
