A Vintage Christmas in July!

Do you like Christmas in July events?  I must admit that I love early Christmas blog posts and craft link ups!   It gives me the opportunity to do a little pre-Christmas organization and planning.   How about a vintage Christmas card mosaic to get you in the mood for Christmas in July?

    1. Hi Balisha,
Thank you for visiting me! My goal is to have everything done by the first of November. I can't stand to run around trying to find gifts when I would rather be enjoying the wonderful Christmas season. Of course, that does not always happen, but it is my goal! The only drawback is that I am so good at hiding my gifts, that I have been known to misplace them!

    1. Hi Kris! On the Mississippi Gulf Coast, we are experiencing the three H's...HOT, HUMID, and HORRIBLE! I must admit that today was not too bad. I am so thankful for that as our preacher's father-in-law fell in his yard and was there for an hour before he was discovered. On a really hot day, it could have been tragic. When we are having 80 degree weather in December, I will be sure to visit Junk Chic Cottage to get a vision of what weather should be like in December:) Thank you for visiting my blog this evening. Come back soon! We can enjoy a glass of cold, iced tea on the front porch!

  7. This made me smile. We are in a heat wave at the moment in England, so to think of Christmas and cards and cold weather was actually refreshing.

    1. Good Morning Donna!
Wow, you make your own cards? You are going to have to share them with us. That must take alot of time and love. Our Christmas card is always a picture of the family. We have family living all over and it has always been nice for them to see the boys as they grow. Taking the picture is another story! You would think I asked them to plow 10 acres with a mule! I think they would rather clean the bathrooms instead of take the annual Christmas picture! Thank you for visiting and please come back often!

    1. Hi Laura! Thanks for dropping by today! I love vintage cards and vintage magazine ads. They have so much visual interest. I am afraid that I begin thinking about events months ahead of time! I search for bargains whenever I can, so actually get some of my Christmas shopping done in the summer. I work for a school district and have the month of July off, so I spend lots of time organizing...the garage, closets, etc. It gives me the chance to also go through Christmas decorations to see what I can give away, use for this year, or reinvent! Love your closing! Happy Holidays to you too!

  17. If you would ask what month or what day to celebrate Christmas, I always love to make every day of my life Christmas. I don’t what is there in this event that I feel very excited when the season comes nearer. Although it is still months to wait, I’m starting to make some decorations as early as September.
