I have always wanted to participate in the Mosaic Monday blog party at The Little Red House; however, I must admit that I do not always take the time to learn various techniques. So here is my first attempt! I promise I will get better! Thanks to Foto Flexer and Pic Monkey for the help!
Here is another one I did. Can't decide which one I like better, but I had fun playing!

You can have a lot of fun making collages with picmonkey. There are so many mix and match options. There is even a help function to explain 'how to' stuff. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteGood first collage of your milk glass collection.
Joy
Hi Joy! Picmonkey has been interesting and fun. I had to finally stop! Good to know there is a good help function. Thanks for visiting and come back soon!

I love it! Makes me want to try my hand at a collage now. Thanks for the inspiration!

ReplyDeleteThanks Lorrie! It really was quite fun! I can't wait to play with the program a little more. Thank you for visiting and come back soon!
DeleteWelcome to the party! It's a fun one with lots of kind folks who enjoy visiting. Milk glass...ohhhhh...my mother had a small collection and gave it all to a dear friend of hers. I may or may not have forgiven her. ☺
ReplyDeleteFor a first timer, you sure did a fine job with the mosaics. I shudder looking at my first-time mosaic. Thank you for following and now I'm following you!
Good Morning Vee! The one thing good about milk glass is that it is fairly inexpensive (why I began collecting in the first place) so you will just need to start your own little collection! Thank you for the nice compliment regarding my first mosaics and also for following me at Still Woods.
DeleteHave a great week!
Lovely milk glass photo mosaics ~ Love them both ~ Great job! ~ Happy Day to you ^_^
ReplyDeleteThanks for 'visiting'.
Good Morning! I enjoyed making the mosaics once I realized there are programs out there. I have already been playing around with my next one. It can be a little addictive! Have a wonderful week and please come back and visit me again.

Good Morning Celia! Thank for visiting, following, and especially your lovely comments. What a fun party! I sometimes struggle with what to write on a blog post (still a newbie), which is what I loved about Mosaic Monday. You really don't have to "talk" much! I am looking forward to be being a regular participant. Have a wonderful week!

What a pretty collection - Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteHi Glenda. I adore milk glass and have way too many pieces. It was nice to be able to show off a little of it on Mosaic Monday. Had I not discovered PicMonkey, I don't think I would have ever participated in this party. It really was quite fun! I can't wait to get in there and play with the program a little more. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your encouraging comment. Come back soon!

What a lovely collection of milk glass. I must admit I haven't seen a lot of it. I have a few pieces of "depression" glass. thank you so much for visiting my blog today and for your lovely comments. I am glad you enjoyed the tour.
ReplyDeleteHi Jill! So there is not much milk glass Downunder? We have an abundance of it in the States. I first began collecting it because it was inexpensive and I just love the look of milk glass. It is extremely versatile. I use it to serve food, as a base for flower arrangements, as pen and pencil containers, to store items in my pantry, etc. My pieces have been borrowed for vintage weddings and most recently for a "afternoon tea" retirement reception. I am getting a late start this morning, but have my first cup of coffee and am about to head over to your place to check out more of your beautiful photography! Thanks for visiting and come back soon. I would be honored to have you follow my little blog.

You did a great job on your collages for Mosaic Monday! They can be rather fun to make and I like how you have photos of different sizes showing your collection of milk glass.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate your kind remarks about the garden.

Hi Karen,
DeleteThanks for the sweet remarks regarding my first mosaic attempts. I am looking forward to partying next week. Have a wonderful week and glad you stopped by!

You have some wonderful milk glass and I love your mosaics. The first one looks like a poster and is a technique I've never tried! Welcome to Mosaic Monday! I hope you'll join us again! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteI like the poster technique. I found it on PicMonkey. I am eager to post again on Mosaic Monday. Thank you for stopping by and come back often. The front doors are always open for blogging friends!

I LOVE your collection of milk glass. I started collecting it last Christmas. It's fun to look for it at thrift shops and yard sales. The mosaics are both lovely, but I like the contrast of the first one with the black border more. :0)
ReplyDeleteThat is one thing I like about milk glass. It is affordable and beautiful. I use mine all the time. I think I like the black border mosaic better as well!
DeleteBlessings from Still Woods Farmhouse
What a beautiful collection of milk glass and your mosaics are just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comments. I enjoyed making my first mosaic blog post. Stop by for a visit anytime!

ReplyDeleteThank you Joy! I had a blast playing around with the PicMonkey program. Do you collect milk glass?

How pretty! Lovely pieces and a great job creating the photo collages : )
ReplyDeleteJeanette
Thank you Jeanette. I had a too much fun playing with the Pic Monkey program. I had to make myself stop!

I like milk glass also. I have a lamp similar to yours but mine has 2 globes that work separately. The bottom one is much dimmer and can be used as a night light. I like the first picture by the way.
ReplyDeleteHi Kara,
DeleteDon't you just love the milk glass lamps? Stop by my January blog posts and you will see my entire collection. There is a set of milk glass lamps that a co-worker gave me as a Secret Santa gift. She was a great Secret Santa! I bet your light is lovely with the bottom light used as a night light. Please come visit me again.
Blessings from Still Woods Farmhouse
I like them both! I think I'm liking the second one better.
ReplyDeleteHi Jackie and Jake,
DeleteThe second one is the one I made first and then found the poster option. I am so glad that you stopped by Still Woods Farmhouse for a visit. Please come back again!
